ESPORAO Alicante Bouschet offers a robust and deeply colored table red wine. As a teinturier grape with both skins and flesh in rich shades of red, it has become especially respected in Portugal's Alentejo region for producing powerful varietal wines as well as blends. With notes of blackberry, black plum, pepper, and earth, this wine is full-bodied and can be moderately tannic. Expect a blend that contributes color and body while other grapes add perfume or acidity, making it an excellent match for grilled meats, stews, sausages, barbecue, roasted vegetables, and hard cheeses.
